The Reverse Grand Sport is mine - the Tuna Sport.
I installed the Big Mouth this past weekend and it works as advertised. I'm seeing 4-7 degrees cooler water and oil temps already after it's fully warmed up. The installation took about an hour to complete - I didn't rush anything and I replaced the center spoiler section while I was under there.

From start to the 37 mile point, I was cruising at 70.  From 37 to 42 miles, the speed was dropped to 55.  From 42 to 52.5, the speed was back up to 70.   Most of both trips were on cruise control at those speeds with only a couple of tweaks above and below each way to adjust for traffic (some trucks just will not get out of the way!).

I think oil temps in the 201 plus arena ought to be okay.

This was a 2-way run on I-40 so I could try to negate the effect of the OK wind as I was check gas mileage also.  BTW, the computer came up with the same 30.3 mpg on both trips.  This would seem to indicate that the Big Mouth has little effect on drag/wind resistance.

I have the A&A kit with a Be cool radiator/stock fans/160 deg thermo on my car.... it ran hot all the time... recovery time's after WOT runs totally sucked...
NOW, I am running the front screen unit that takes the place of the license plate cover. I am also using the Big mouth Air Dam underneath my car which scoops cold air from below and directs it IN BETWEEN the radiator and condenser... NOW, The face of my radiator gets a big blast of COLD air that didnt go through my intercooler and AC condenser. My temps dropped 30/40 deg across the board as a result. Recovery times from WOT runs are fantastic...

Big mouth air dam can be found here.... http://www.c4orcecorvette.com/store.htm

Buy both... put them on... end of all the problems... ching.. ching...

Well I don't see how it could possibly suck up more debri. For one, it's a smaller opening. Two, it's pointed forward and not down towards the road debri.

Thats what keeps it from sucking up things... Last time I looked, I had ZERO debris in my rad area... I have been running this unit for over 1000 miles now... long trips and road course time too...

Super easy install love the looks and ready to test on the track. It makes perfect sense the way the Big Mouth is designed that it would work great.Ramming ambient air onto the radiator is always a good thing.

Installed last week.  It was a little tight between the skids (looks like the skids are more rounded on 2004 cars).  Had to cut-off side rubber pieces.  Since I do not have the factory air dam, install was different. I moved thr big mouth more to the rear and tilted the plate up to meet with angle of the radiator. I used the orignal frame saver bolt holes. Did not need any other screws. The rear edge of the big mouth butts up against the skid support plate welds. Looks very nice.

I have been running tests for several days. I also installed a 160* t-stat (finally available for the 2004 cars). This allows the big Dewitts radiator to work properly. With 105* ambient temps, I see a 12* drop in temps from street to freeway 65 MPH downgrade driving (this is with no fans running). This drop occurs in about 1 mile of driving so the big mouth is working. The 160* t-stat will be too low for winter driving, hopefully the 180* units will be out by then.
Thanks for bringing this product to market. It was the perfect solution for my cooling system.

It's been awhile since we last spoke, awhile ago I purchased one of your BMAD andI would like to let you know that this month my car is featured in Vette Vues magazine and I mentioned your Big Mouth Air Dam.

Your product has been holding up great without any problems. I slightly customized my air dam by adding the word CORVETTE in white safety reflective vinyl letters which look awesome at night when headlights hit it. I also added two little stabilizer bars which helps give it that "race" look. I also replaced the factory lower spoiler with an M1 Prowler front spoiler.

The car will be shipped next week up to Bloomington to appear in the BPP display!

Hello Eric , happy holidays, took the ZR1 out today , noticed lower oil temps , and water temps , great product ...plus it looks great i will send some pics soon , take care Gary

Well I'm an unbiased opion....and the DAM lowered my temp... I've had no debris problem and the lines are clean, the material and workmanship is vette quality...I've posted pictures here on the install and am waiting for the vette lettering from Eric... He did a great job....Vinnies87.

Eric its in, it seemed to be doing really well on my way back to work getting up to about 185... a 9 degree drop then.... I stop to get something to drink, came out and my overflow tank was bubbling over...but my temp was only about 204...Hmmmmmm, as soon as I fired it up and started driving and the coolant fan on it dropped back to the high 180's....possible that I just put too much coolant in the radiator and that's just over flow pushing it out

I tried to mount mine as high as possible to avoid scraping, so a stock non-lowered vette with it hanging lower would show better gains. I took a pic of the approach angle (15 degrees) with my lowered vette, and showed how easily it clears a standard size parking curb. Mine is 6" off the ground.

Hey Eric!! I'm JUST getting back from the weekend - I sent Larry a screen shot of my car on the highway - it went from 201 to 171 in less then a mile!!!!!!!!! I was doing around 75, and my temps were in the low 170's, if not 171!!  He was impressed :).

Eric was very helpful from the first time I emailed him. I had some special requests and things I wanted to address and he accomidated all of them before he had any money in hand. The online transfer of funds went smoothly and the product was shipped right away. Packaging was between overkill and ridiculous, plenty of wrapping!.

After buying a Big Mouth Performance Air Dam Kevin decided to put it to the test and see if it really works. This is his findings  Tech Data Page
